Frequently asked questions

What is the parcel limit?

If goods sent by international post or a courier company in the name of the same individual within one calendar month are worth no more than 300 US dollars in total, no customs payments are charged (Rules approved by Cabinet of Ministers Decision No. 305, 2.1.4).

What happens if the limit is exceeded?

Customs payments are charged only on the excess - the total value minus 300 dollars - at the rate for the goods code. The recipient files a simplified electronic declaration and pays in manat at the Central Bank rate of the clearance day.

Is the limit for 30 days or a calendar month?

For a calendar month: parcels arriving from the 1st to the last day of the month are added up, and the count starts again in a new month. Excise goods and motor vehicles are not covered by this exemption.
